Jitske Kreijen

Jitske Kreijen (2000) has been working as a legal assistant since March 2026. She completed her master's degree in Health Law at the University of Amsterdam. She previously obtained her bachelor's degree in Law at Utrecht University.

As a legal assistant, she assists the lawyers in drafting legal documents and conducts case law and literature research.

Her passion for health law arose from her personal background: she grew up in a family with many doctors, but deliberately chose to pursue a career in law. What draws her to the field is the combination of legal and societal issues within healthcare.

Her interest lies particularly in governance within healthcare institutions, the social domain and supervision of the quality of care. An important area of focus is the role and responsibility of municipalities in safeguarding quality within the social domain. She published an article on this subject in the Tijdschrift voor Gezondheidsrecht.
